The Bush Is Burning
Yesterday the smoke billowed like an ethreal mountain range above the burning national parks. Burning on both sides of the Great Dividing Range which seperates eastern Victoria. Overnight the fires that had started from masses of lightning strikes last weekend, joined forces to create one of the longest fire front ever seen in our little State.
Today the wind and dry heat has fanned a fury that may leave the bushland reserves and reach out to menace the many small communities and regional cities in Gippsland.
The wind has now dispersed the smokey haze across the countryside and as I look out from my backyard it looks like the fires are much closer than 300 kilometres away.

I hear the smoke is covering the whole state, and half of NSW. Hopefully they can get them under control soon.
Um I have a great idea. Jump a plane and come here for Christmas!!! Escape from the terrible drought.
Also, I want the shorts. Really badly. But could you please allot for the extra leg I seem to possess and make them a tad bit longer? In fact how about a full pant with 34-36 inch inseam. Or even a capri? So you do them in either or those? And how about yellow? Do you have any in yellow? And Evee likes them too. In butterflies.
Ella likes the chocolate ones. In fact she is here saying candy right now. Jake wants Spiderman or Superman either/or.
HeHe looks like mum is going to become one of santas helpers with making pj's. They are very comfy!
